CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Gardner-Webb right fielder
Curtis Robison was named Big South Conference Baseball Player of the Week on Monday by the league office.
Robison (Dillsburg, Pa.) started all five games for the Runnin' Bulldogs and helped his team to a 4-1 mark and another Big South series win – all on the road.
He batted a strong .417 (10-of-14) with five doubles, one triple and four RBI in wins over UNC Greensboro, Elon and Presbyterian (twice).
He hit safely in all five games and is currently riding an eight-game hitting streak.
In the series finale vs. Presbyterian, Robison went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a double in a 9-8 win. He went 7-of-13 in the series vs. the Blue Hose (.538) and scored three runs.
He was 2-for-6 earlier in the week with a double in a win at Elon and hit a triple in a road win at defending SoCon Champion UNC Greensboro.
This season, Robison is batting a team-high .353 with 15 doubles and 33 RBI.
Gardner-Webb (26-13) remains on the road this week, heading to face Western Carolina in Cullowhee, N.C., at 5:00 pm (ESPN+).
