ROCK HILL, S.C. – GWU wrapped up day three of the outdoor championship Friday from Rock Hill.
The most notable results on the women's side were highlighted by
Amy Prugh's 1500m. Prugh finished in 4:33.48, which was good enough for third place. The personal record was also second all-time in Gardner-Webb history, surpassing her time of 4:37.62 set at the Catamount Classic April 15.
Alyiah Eugene placed third in the high jump with a score of 1.65m. The mark was a personal best for Eugene.
Karmen Taylor finished in the top ten in Discus with a distance of 41.47m.
Two other personal bests on the women's side were
Jessica Perriello's 4:40.05 in the 1500m and
Jennifer Escalera's 20:10.84 in the 5000m.
As for the men, their most notable finish was Quentin Peterson's Discus result. Peterson set a personal record of 48.95m and placed third.
Joshua Fischer also placed in the top ten in Discus with a 44.70m result.
With the Big South Outdoor Championship coming to a close, the Runnin' Bulldogs will be in action next at the NCAA Eastern Regionals May 24
th from Jacksonville, Florida.
