
Cross Country Runs at Winthrop/Adidas Invitational Saturday Morning

Runnin’ Bulldogs finish their third race this season
ROCK HILL, S.C. – Gardner-Webb Cross Country competed on Saturday morning at the Winthrop/Adidas Invitational, with the men and women logging 6th place finishes. The men would finish out of seven teams while the women included eight teams.
Running the 5k again, sophomore Jessica Perriello led the women's team finishing 14th at 19:25. Junior Chloe McDaniel and senior Jennifer Escalera finished behind Perriello in 43rd and 44th place respectfully, with times of 21:44 and 21:46. Juniors Teryn Bour and Isabela Castillo completed the women's side with times of 24:07 and 24:28.
The men ran their first 8k event of the season with freshman Nathan Cremin finishing 30th for the men's side, with a time of 27:44. Junior Ryan Morita followed behind Cremin with a time of 28:15 and a 37th place finish.
Freshman Kaden Pratt clocked in under 30 minutes with a time of 29:58 tabbing 50th in the race. Junior Mark Mellon, freshman Austin DeGeorge, and junior Cole Ray completed the men's side with 56th, 57th, and 62nd place finishes.
The 'Dawgs will take a week off and return to soil in Spartanburg at USC Upstate on Saturday, October 14.
