BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. - Returning for her senior season as one of the top offensive players in the Big South Conference, senior guard Ashley Hawkins has been named to the World Exposure Report Top 50 Mid-Major Players to Watch List, checking in at No. 47

Hawkins had an outstanding junior season for the Runnin' Bulldogs and has received major recognition for it entering the 2024-25 campaign. The Runnin' Bulldogs guard was also named the 2024-25 Big South Conference Preseason Player of The Year, a 2023-24 First Team All-Big South Member, the 2023-24 Big South Newcomer of The Year and a WBCA All-American Honorable Mention at the end of last winter.

The Long Beach, Calif. native shined in her first season at Gardner-Webb, averaging 15.9 points per game, 5.7 assists per game, and 3.8 rebounds per game, finishing the season third in the conference in scoring and first in assists. Hawkins posted a season-high 33 points on 13/23 shooting against UNC Asheville in the first round of last season's Big South Tournament.

Gardner-Webb Women's Basketball opens its 2024-25 season inside Paul Porter Arena on November 4th at 7 p.m. against West Georgia.
