Overton and Moffitt Named Big South/OVC All-Conference

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Junior tight end Camden Overton and redshirt-junior linebacker Trevor Moffitt of the Gardner-Webb University football team have been named 2024 Big South/OVC All-Conference as announced by the league today.
Overton, from Atlanta, Ga., led the Runnin' Bulldogs with a team-high 42 catches to go along with 453 yards and one touchdown while being named to the First Team Offense. His 37.8 receiving yards per game were second on the team and top 20 in the league. Overton's best game of the year came on November 16, where he caught a season-high seven passes for 75 yards against Tennessee State. His lone score of the year came versus Tennessee Tech.
Moffitt, a linebacker from Bushnell, Fla., was named to the Second Team Defense after having a standout year for Gardner-Webb. He led the 'Dawgs with 64 total tackles and 10.5 tackles for loss while ranking second on the team and ninth in the conference with 5.0 sacks. Moffitt also registered one interception, which he took back 45 yards for a score at Charlotte while forcing a fumble and recovering two. His best game of the season came at James Madison where he recorded 12 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and one sack.
