ATHENS, OH - The Gardner-Webb University wrestling team wrapped up a busy stretch of five straight dual matches on Sunday afternoon, coming up short to Ohio by a final score of 26-15

Todd Carter scored wins to extend some of the best individual records in the Southern Conference. In the 133 pound class, Davis won his sixth dual match of the season, defeating Mason Brugh by tech fall, 18-2 to score important points for GWU. Next up in the 141 pound class,
Todd Carter also notched a sixth win in dual matches, scoring a 15-4 major decision over Kaden Jett. Junior
Jeffrey Jacome and freshman
Grant Kress were the lone other Gardner-Webb athletes with an individual triumph, with Jacome notching a 5-2 sudden victory over Ryan Meek at 125 pounds and Kress defeating Jack Lledo by 8-3 decision at 165 pounds.
The Runnin' Bulldogs will enter into a short holiday break before traveling to Chattanooga for the Southern Scuffle on January 4th and 5th
