Three ‘Dawgs score double digits despite loss to the Lancers
FARMVILLE, Va.– The Gardner-Webb University women's basketball defeat lost to the Lancers of Longwood Universality on Wednesday evening by a final score of 67-57. Three different 'Dawgs recoreded double digits on the day.
The game remained even up through the entire first quarter. Ashley Hawkins and Anya Harris heated up for the 'Dawgs in the second quarter sitting at a seven-point deficit at the break 34-27. Longwood was able to stay ahead down the stretch entering the fourth up seven points. Gardner-Webb was able to keep it close, but ultimately fell by 10 points on the evening 67-57
Three different Runnin' Bulldogs dropped double-digits on the evening with Hawkins recording 22, Bailey tallying 13 and Anaya Harris scoring 12.
The Runnin' Bulldogs return to the court on Feb. 28 at Longwood University for a 7:00 p.m. tipoff.
