ST, CHARLES, Mo. – The Gardner-Webb football team (4-3, 2-1 OVC/Big South) heads to Lindenwood (3-4, 2-1 OVC/Big South) on Saturday, October 25 for a pivotal conference showdown.
SERIES HISTORY WITH LINDENWOOD
Saturday's contest marks the 2nd all-time meeting between Gardner-Webb and the Lions. The Dawgs picked up a 42-35 win over Lindenwood in last year's meeting in Boiling Springs. This will be the first game played in St. Charles, Mo.
SCOUTING LINDENWOOD
The Lions are currently 3-4, coming off a tough 52-28 loss against No. 8 Tennessee Tech last weekend. As a team, Lindenwood averages 21.3 points, 94.6 rushing yards, and 234 passing yards per contest.
Starting in all seven games for the Lions, Nate Glantz leads Lindenwood under center, completing 118-of-208 passes (57%) for 1,638 yards and 12 scores.
On the ground, redshirt junior Jared Rhodes has rushed for a team-high 239 yards while finding the endzone twice in 2025. Glantz has a team-leading five rushing touchdowns. Redshirt sophomore Steve Hall has added a pair of rushing touchdowns.
Redshirt sophomore Jalen Smith leads the Lions with 442 yards receiving to go along with two TDs. Redshirt freshman Rico Bond leads the team with 31 catches and five receiving touchdowns.
On the defensive side of the ball, LU's opponents average 30.6 points, 206 rushing, and 232 passing yards per game. Redshirt junior linebacker Jacob Waller leads the team with 58 total tackles, 39 of the solo variety. Redshirt senior linebacker Snajay Strickland has added 54 tackles while redshirt senior defensive end Tajay Passmore leads the team with 5.0 tackles for loss and 4.0 sacks.
Redshirt sophomore kicker Will Graham is 2-for-6 on field goal attempts with a long of 31 yards while redshirt junior punter A.J. Vinatieri is averaging 42.29 yards per punt.
