BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Redshirt junior running back Carson Gresock of the Gardner-Webb football team has been tabbed OVC/Big South Offensive Player of the Week while teammate Charlie Viorel earns his third Special Teams Player of the Week nod following their performances in a 48-20 road win over Lindenwood on Saturday, October 25.
Gresock put together a remarkable game after toting the rock 21 times for 119 yards and four rushing touchdowns, with the four scores tying the NCAA season-high for any player. This marks the third time in his career he has posted three or more touchdowns. Gresock also hauled in a pair of passes for 33 yards while completing a pass for 12 yards.
Viorel turned in another solid outing in special teams, recording 12 points after going a perfect 6-for-6 on extra points while adding field goals of 30 and 40 yards. For the season, Viorel has a team-leading 54 points.
The Runnin' Bulldogs will be back in action on Saturday, November 1, traveling to Cookeville, Tenn. to face league-leading and No. 8 nationally ranked Tennessee Tech.
