Runnin' Bulldogs Head to Cookeville, Tenn. to Face No. 8 Tennessee Tech

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Gardner-Webb football team (5-3, 3-1 OVC/Big South) heads to No. 8 Tennessee Tech (8-0, 5-0 OVC/Big South) on Saturday, November 1 for a pivotal conference showdown.

SERIES HISTORY WITH TENNESSEE TECH

Saturday's contest marks the 4th all-time meeting between the Runnin' Bulldogs and Golden Eagles with Tennessee Tech owning a 2-1 advantage in the overall series. The Golden Eagles earned a 52-21 win in Boiling Springs last season. Gardner-Webb picked up its only win of the series on Nov. 11, 2023, a 35-0 victory in Cookeville.

SCOUTING TENNESSEE TECH

The Golden Eagles are currently 8-0 and No. 8 in the country, coming off a dominant 42-23 win against Southeast Missou last weekend. As a team, Tennessee Tech averages 50.5 points, 244.6 rushing yards, and 235.5 passing yards per contest.

Redshirt senior quarterback Kekoa Visperas takes snaps from under center for the Golden Eagles, completing 134-of-209 passes for 1,674 yards and a league-leading 19 touchdowns.

On the ground, redshirt senior Jared Quintell Quinn has rushed for a team-high 576 yards yards while finding the endzone eight times in 2025. Redshirt senior Q'Daryius Jennings has 458 yards rushing to go along with a team-best nine touchdowns.

Redshirt senior Noah Robinson leads the Golden Eagles with 473 yards receiving to go along with six TDs. Junior Maury Sullivan is second on the team with 321 yards and three receiving scores.

On the defensive side of the ball, TTU's opponents average 15.4 points, 43 rushing, and 228.3 passing yards per game. Senior defensive lineman Theron Gaines leads the team with 52 total tackles, 25 of the solo variety, to go along with team-highs in tackles for loss (10.5) and sacks (3.5).

Sophomore kicker Dom LeBlanc is 5-for-7 on field goal attempts with a long of 47 yards while sophomore punter Spencer Ashby is averaging 37.6 yards per punt.
