BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – In the regular season finale, the Gardner-Webb (11-2-2, 4-1-1) men's soccer team is set to return to action on Saturday, November 1, traveling to UNC Asheville (7-5-2, 3-2-1), with the winner controlling second place in the overall conference standings.

This contest marks the 21st all-time meeting between the Runnin' Bulldogs and Bulldogs with the series in favor of Gardner-Webb, 12-4-4. However, the series is currently on a streak of three consecutive ties.

Gardner-Webb is coming off a 3-0 defeat at the hands of league-leading High Point on Saturday, October 25. The Panthers scored once in the first half followed by two more scores in the second while wrapping up the Big South Conference Regular Season Title.

Kpardeh joins Jaylen Orr and Robbie Lyons to lead the Runnin' Bulldogs with five goals while Lyons has added a team-high four assists on the season. Teammate Breno Correia has also chipped in four helpers. Javan Ochieng has scored four goals as GWU is outscoring their opponents 28-8 through 14 games. Alan Horrocks has played all 1,350 minutes in goal, producing nine clean sheets and 35 saves.

UNC Asheville is coming into the contest with a 7-5-2 overall record and 3-2-1 mark in league play. The Bulldogs collected a 2-0 win over Wintrhop in their most recent contest while last tasting defeat on October 21 against No. 8 Furman (2-1).

The Bulldogs are led by Rodrigo Mendes, who has a team-high four goals while adding five assists. Arnor Hardarson, Louis Beckett, and Lennart Granzow are second on the club with three goals each. For the year, the Bulldogs are outscoring their opponents by a margin of 19-17. Lucca Barros has played all 1,260 minutes in goal for UNC Asheville, collecting 28 saves and four shutouts.
