BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Head coach Scott Wells has announced he will step down as head men's soccer coach at Gardner-Webb.
In his three seasons at the helm of the Runnin' Bulldogs, Wells compiled a 30-16-9 overall record, including a mark of 12-3-6 in Big South Conference play. Wells helped lead the program to back-to-back double-digit win seasons, the first time since joining the Division I ranks, and its first ever Big South Tournament Championship in 2024. The Runnin' Bulldogs went on to defeat Oregon State in the first round of the NCAA playoffs.
Wells helped coach numerous players to the Big South All-Conference team while also garnering the Big South Scholar Athlete of the Year in Giampaolo Nardi folliwng the 2024 season.
