Kpardeh Named Big South Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Sophomore wing Samson Kpardeh of the Gardner-Webb men's soccer team has been named the Big South Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the league on Monday, November 3.
Kpardeh recorded a brace at UNC Asheville, including the game-winning goal in the 76th minute, to lift Gardner-Webb to a 2-1 comeback victory and clinch the No. 2 seed in the Big South Championship. Trailing 1-0, he scored twice in less than three minutes at the 73:06 and 75:56 marks to secure a first-round bye for the Runnin' Bulldogs. Kpardeh finished with nine shots, seven on goal, while playing the full 90 minutes.
The Runnin' Bulldogs will return to the pitch on Sunday, November 9, playing host to either No. 3 Presbyterian or No. 6 Radford in the semifinal round of the Big South Men's Soccer Championship. Kickoff for that contest is set for 6 p.m.
