BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Entering his second season at the helm of the program, head coach Cris Reisert and the Gardner-Webb football team have announced its complete schedule for the upcoming 2025 season. This year's slate includes four non-conference contests as well as an 8-game Big South/OVC schedule.
The Runnin' Bulldogs will play seven games away from home and five games within the friendly confines of Spangler Stadium.
Gardner-Webb opens the 2025 campaign with a trip to Cullowhee, N.C. to face the Catamounts of Western Carolina on Saturday, August 30 with a kick time of 6 p.m.
The following week the Dawgs will head down interstate 85 while making a stop in Atlanta for a much-anticipated matchup with the ACC's Ramblin' Wreck of Georgia Tech.
The Citadel will visit Boiling Springs on Saturday, September 13 for GWU's home opener at 7 p.m. A quick trip to Athens, Ohio on September 20 pits the Runnin' Bulldogs against the University of Ohio.
Gardner-Webb opens the month of October with a BBQ Bowl rematch with Charleston Southern while opening Big South/OVC play. The Runnin' Bulldogs took a thrilling 17-14 win over CSU in last year's rivalry game.
Up next, the Dawgs will head to Charleston, Ill. to take on Eastern Illinois October 11 before returning to Spangler for a showdown with UT Martin on October 18.
The next two Saturdays will be spent on the road as the Runnin' Bulldogs takes their talents to Lindenwood October 25 followed by Tennessee Tech November 1. Southeast Missouri State will make the trip to North Carolina November 8 before GWU closes out the road portion of its schedule on November 15 at Tennessee State.
The 2025 regular season wraps up on Saturday, November 22 as the Dawgs play host to Western Illinois.
