Men's Basketball Announces 2025-26 Campaign

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Head coach Jeremy Luther and the Gardner-Webb men's basketball team have announced its full schedule for the upcoming 2025-26 season. This year's slate includes 15 non-conference games as well as 16 games within the Big South Conference.

"I love our schedule," said Luther. In putting this year's schedule together, we wanted to make sure we were going to be tested, gave our kids a great experience and our fans some great non-conference home games to come and see."

The Runnin' Bulldogs kick off this year's schedule with a trip to Minnesota on November 3 before making the trip down I85 to visit the Tigers of Clemson on November 7.

Gardner-Webb opens the home portion of its schedule on November 10, playing host to the Trailblazers of North Greenville University. The next seven games will be played away from Paul Porter Arena as the Dawgs start their road swing at Elon November 15.

Trips to DePaul and Richmond on November 18 and 22, respectively, lead the Runnin' Bulldogs into the Live Oak Bank Holiday Classic hosted by UNC Wilmington over Thanksgiving break, November 26-29).

On day one of the tournament, GWU will take on Navy before having a rest day to prepare for Southeastern Louisiana. The classic wraps up on November 29 when the Runnin' Bulldogs play the host Seahawks.

Gardner-Webb will complete its 7-game road trip on December 3 after traveling to the Queen City of Charlotte, N.C. to face Queens University.

The Runnin' Bulldogs will then enter a season-long four-game home streak, starting with Georgia Southern on December 6. Brevard visits the LYCC on December 12 followed by Wofford and Toccoa Falls on December 15 and 18, respectively.

One last non-conference contest at Tennessee on December 21 will bring GWU into the conference portion of the schedule.

Charleston Southern will come to town on December 31 before trips to Winthrop (Jan. 3) and High Point (Jan. 7) ring in the New Year for Gardner-Webb.

The next two games will be played at Paul Porter Arena as Radford visits GWU (Jan. 14) followed by Presbyterian (Jan. 17). A quick trip to Farmville, Va. will pit the Dawgs against Longwood on January 21 before returning home to face USC Upstate on January 24.

Gardner-Webb will then hit the trails for games at UNC Asheville (Jan. 29) and Charleston Southern (Jan. 31) followed by a home date with Longwood on February 4. After traveling to Clinton, S.C. to take on Presbyterian February 7, the Runnin' Bulldogs play back-to-back games at home against Winthrop (Feb. 12) and High Point (Feb. 14).

Two of the final three games of the season will be played away from the friendly confines of the Lutz Yelton Convocation Center, starting with Radford on February 19 followed by the final regular season home game versus UNC Asheville February 26. The Runnin' Bulldogs close out the regular season on February 28 at USC Upstate.

Luther added, "At the end of the day it's about what we do in Big South Conference play and we feel this schedule will get us ready to be the best team we can be going forward."
