Spence Sims of the Gardner-Webb men's basketball team has been named Big South Freshman of The Week for the fifth time this season
Sims averaged 20.5 points and shot 64.3 percent from three-point range (9-of-14) in two games last week. He opened with 12 points, two rebounds, one steal and 4-of-4 from the line last Wednesday against Charleston Southern. Sims then scored a career-high 29 points Saturday at Winthrop as he went 11-of-18 from the floor and made 7-of-12 three-pointers. Sims also had three rebounds, an assist and block against the Eagles
