Hrncir Set to Lead Gardner-Webb Offense

| By:

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – With the changing of the guard at the head of the Gardner-Webb football program, over the next few weeks we will take a look at the new faces that will pace the sidelines for head coach Kris McCullough and the Runnin' Bulldogs. Today's spotlight will be Kenneth Hrncir. Hrncir joins the Runnin' Bulldogs as the Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach.

Hrncir brings a proven track record of excellence both on the field and on the sideline to the Gardner-Webb football program. A former record-setting quarterback turned rising offensive mind, Hrncir is committed to developing student-athletes into better competitors, leaders, and men.

Prior to his arrival at GWU, Hrncir helped engineer one of the nation's most dynamic offenses at the University of Texas Permian Basin. In 2025, the Falcons posted an 11-3 record while leading the nation in passing yards (4,622) and ranking fourth nationally in total offense (6,447 yards), averaging 37.1 points per game. Under his leadership, two quarterbacks earned All-Conference honors. The 2024 season saw similar offensive success, with over 5,100 total yards and nearly 35 points per game.

Before transitioning into coaching, Hrncir starred at both UTPB and East Central University, finishing his collegiate career with 11,800 passing yards and 102 touchdowns. He was named an All-Great American Conference quarterback, earned Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Year honors, and received Don Hansen All-America recognition. Hrncir also left ECU as the program's all-time passing leader.
