Homestand Continues as Runnin' Bulldogs Welcome Quinnipiac to Spangler Stadium

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Gardner-Webb (0-6) women's lacrosse returns to the field on Friday, March 13, hosting the Bobcats of Quinnipiac (3-3) in the third and final game of its homestand.

The Runnin' Bulldogs are still searching for their first win of the 2026 campaign after dropping a close game against Butler on Wednesday afternoon.

Gardner-Webb has posted 48 goals on the season, including a season-high 14 goals in the opener with Austin Peay. The Runnin' Bulldogs hold a .364 shot percentage and has assisted on 23-of-48 goals.

Freshman Maddie Tredway leads the way for Gardner-Webb with 12 goals and four assists for a total of 16 points. She has been named Big South Freshman of the Week on several occasions this year. Fellow rookie Jazmyn Morris is currently second on the team with 10 goals while freshman Addi Cook has added seven scores. Sophomore Jules Brown has dished out a team-high seven assists.

Quinnipiac comes into the contest with a 3-3 overall record after defeating New Haven 16-6 on March 7. The Bobcats are led in scoring by Julia Givens with 13 while Emma Miller-Ayala and Brie Provenzano have contributed 11 and nine goals, respectively. Cate Bendowski leads the squad with 13 helpers.

The Bobcats have outscored their opponents by a total of 74-62 on the season while posting double digit goals in four consecutive games.

Friday's matchup marks the second time in history the Runnin' Bulldogs and Bobcats will meet. Quinnipiac took the lone game of the series, 18-9, on March 17, 2018. Game time is set for 7 p.m. Live stats will be available at www.gwusports.com.
