TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Gardner-Webb (0-7) lacrosse team heads to the Sunshine State on Wednesday, March 18 to face off against Florida State (2-7) in a non-conference bout.
The Runnin' Bulldogs are still looking for their first win of the season after several close defeats, including a pair of one-goal games. However, Gardner-Webb has earned the lead in five of seven games this season.
In their last meeting, the Dawgs pushed ahead of Quinnipiac 2-0 early before scoring a season-high five goals in the fourth period but ultimately fell 14-9.
Freshman sensation Maddie Tredway, fresh off her single-game Big South record 18 draw controls, leads the Runnin' Bulldogs with 15 goals to go along with four assists. She leads the team with 57 total draw controls. Jazmyn Morris has chipped in 12 scores while Jules Brown has dished out a team-high eight assists.
On the defensive side of the ball, Emma Anderson has played 417 minutes in goal while collecting 64 saves and 33 groundballs on the year. Abby Consaul leads the club with 15 caused turnovers.
Wednesday's game will be broadcast live on ACC Network Extra with a set start time of 12 p.m.
