CHARLOTTE, N.C. – For the third time this season, freshman midfielder Maddie Tredway of the Gardner-Webb women's lacrosse team has been named Big South Freshman of the Week as announced by the league office on Tuesday, March 17.

Tredway broke the Big South single-game record with 18 draw controls against Quinnipiac. She finished the week with 26 draw controls, four goals and two ground balls in two games for the Runnin' Bulldogs. The freshman midfielder set new school and conference marks by winning 18 of the game's 25 draws, surpassing the previous league record of 16. She also recorded a hat trick with three goals on five shots. Earlier in the week, Tredway scored one goal and added eight draw controls against Butler. She collected one ground ball in each contest.
