Following up from 2025 Indoor Championships where he won individual championships in shot put and weight throw, and set a Big South Conference record in the latter, senior
Quentin Peterson took home the Men's Most Outstanding Performance Award at the 2026 edition of the event. This weekend, Peterson won men's shot put again, this time with a high mark of 20.10 meters, a new school record and one of the top marks in the NCAA during indoor season. Peterson also defended his crown in weight throw, recording a mark of 20.00 meters to take the win, the only athlete in the field to eclipse 20 meters
Named Men's Scholar Athlete of The Year for Gardner-Webb, junior
Jonathan Timpson completed a successful indoor season on the track and in the classroom. The Hildale, Utah native posted a 3.91 GPA while working towards his degree in Exercise Science. At the 2026 Big South Indoor Championships, he also added a podium finish to his accolades, finishing third with a mark of 2.01 meters in the men's high jump event
