Runnin' Bulldogs Welcome Charlotte to Spangler Stadium Saturday Afternoon

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb (0-8) lacrosse team returns to the friendly confines of Spangler Stadium on Saturday, March 21 to face off against Charlotte (5-4) in a non-conference bout. The 49ers took the lone game in the series with GWU, a 20-2 victory on February 8, 2025 at Jerry Richardson Stadium.

The Runnin' Bulldogs are still looking for their first win of the season after several close defeats, including a pair of one-goal games. However, Gardner-Webb has earned the lead in five of seven games this season.

In their last meeting, the Dawgs were outlasted by Florida State despite a late fourth quarter burst that saw goals from Abby Hardiman and Jazmyn Morris.

Freshman sensation Maddie Tredway leads the Runnin' Bulldogs with 15 goals to go along with four assists. She leads the team with 59 total draw controls while ranking 18th nationally with 8.14 draw controls per contest. Jazmyn Morris has chipped in 13 scores while Jules Brown has dished out a team-high eight assists to go along with eight goals.

On the defensive side of the ball, Emma Anderson has played 463 minutes in goal while collecting 70 saves and a team-best 36 groundballs on the year. Anderson's 5.29 ground balls per game ranks second in the country at the Division I level while her 9.14 saves per game also places her 19th nationally. Abby Consaul leads the club with 15 caused turnovers, sitting 22nd among the DI ranks with 2.14 caused turnovers per game.
