Freshman
Skye Jackson advanced to yet another final on Tuesday afternoon. Jackson was second in the women's 100 meter prelims, finishing with a time of 11.75 seconds and comfortably into finals
Senior
Jessica Perriello made the final for the women's 800 meter finals. With a time of 2:14.59, Perriello was the final qualifier in her field with an eighth place finish in prelims
Sophomore
Hope Smith is in the upcoming field for the women's 400 meters after a strong prelims run. Smith was seventh, clocking in with a time of 56.02 seconds
Junior
Teandra Clemons added to GWU's list of winners this week, taking a podium spot in the women's triple jump finals. Clemons posted a mark of 12.59 meters for third place
Senior
Quentin Peterson stepped up to dominate the men's shot put finals at a Big South Championships meet once again. Peterson took the win with relative ease, posting a mark of 19.60 meters, winning the event by nearly 2.00 full meters. He smashed both the meet record and Big South record in the process.
Another winner for Gardner-Webb, freshman Donovan Richardson won in the men's triple jump by a nail biter. Richardson was scored with a mark of 14.74 meters, ahead of second place by just 0.03 meters to win his first Big South individual title
Over in the women's shot put finals, senior
Adrionna Coleman added another podium to the week of winners for GWU. Coleman was second with an outstanding mark of 14.60 meters
Senior
Christian Rutland continued in the men's decathlon on Tuesday, ending the day in fifth. Rutland's best came in the 100 meters, where the senior was fifth with a time of 11.55 seconds
Junior Isa van Sintemaartendijk also continued in the women's heptathlon. van Sintemaartendijk was scored in fourth at the day's end, saving her best for shot put where she was fourth at 10.34 meters
