Big South Releases 2026-27 Men’s Basketball Conference Schedule

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Big South Conference unveiled its 2026-27 league men's basketball schedule Wednesday in an announcement from the league office.
The Gardner-Webb men's basketball team is scheduled to have five of its first seven Big South contests on the road. The schedule begins on New Year's Day 2027 at Winthrop followed by a trip to Charleston Southern on Jan. 6.
The Runnin' Bulldogs take on Presbyterian on Jan. 9 in the conference home opener followed by a matchup at High Point on Jan. 13. Gardner-Webb returns home to face UNC Asheville on Jan. 16 with road games at Longwood and USC Upsate on Jan. 20 and 23, respectively.
Gardner-Webb follows up that initial stretch with four of the next five games at home, starting with a January 28 contest at Radford. The Runnin' Bulldogs travel to Presbyterian on Jan. 30 and then are back at Paul Porter Arena for three straight home games to begin February.
The homestand starts with a matchup against Charleston Southern on Feb. 3 followed by games against Longwood (Feb. 11) and High Point (Feb. 13). GWU heads on the road to play Radford on Feb. 18 and closes out the home schedule with contests against Winthrop (Feb. 20) and USC Upstate (Feb. 25). The final Big South contest of the season will be Feb. 27 at UNC Asheville. Â
The Big South Tournament takes place from March 3-7 at Freedom Hall Civic Center in Johnson City, Tenn. where the Runnin' Bulldogs will compete for a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
