Fred Proesel enters his first season as the Director of Football Operations for Gardner-Webb. He was promoted to the position in July of 2024. Proesel joined Gardner-Webb initially in January of 2024 as a Graduate Assistant for the Offense.
Prior to Gardner-Webb, Proesel was the Tight Ends Coach for Coach Reisert at Tiffin University in 2023
Before that, Proesel was an intern at The University of Minnesota, where he worked with the Wide Receivers’ Coach Matt Simon, and Offensive Coordinator Kirk Ciarrocca during the 2022 season.
Proesel started his career in 2018 as a Student Assistant at The University of Dayton. There, he worked with the Offensive Line for Austin King and Josh Hendershot, under Head Coach Rick Chamberlain until 2022.
He earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration in Finance from the University of Dayton in 2022.
