Gardner-Webb University Athletics

Tyler Dell is in his third season with the Gardner-Webb football program and his first as the tight ends coach. He will also serve as the program’s Recruiting Coordinator. He will be in charge of a much improved group, featuring All-Big South candidate Deland Thomas and a deep supporting cast. 

Dell previously served on staff as the Director of Player Personnel and Recruiting, handling a variety of day-to-day responsibilities and making a major impact in scouting and recruiting. During Dell’s two seasons in that role, Gardner-Webb hauled in two of the top recruiting classes in the country and rebuilt the roster with a focus on speed across the board.

Prior to his arrival in Boiling Springs,the Waverly, Tenn., native spent time as a student offensive assistant at Tennessee Tech, where he graduated with a degree in interdisciplinary studies, psychology and exercise science in 2019.
