Dorr opened the season as the team’s precision punter, specializing in pinning opponents deep inside their own territory. He averaged 43 yards on two punts in the season opener against No. 19 Western Carolina and followed with a standout performance against future No. 7 Georgia Tech, where he placed two punts inside the 7-yard line, forced a fumble on one, and drew a roughing-the-kicker penalty on another. Dorr added a 46-yard punt in the matchup with FBS Ohio.

He earned the starting punter role in the second half of the season and was named the team’s Special Teams Player of the Week twice. Against Lindenwood, he placed two punts inside the 10-yard line, and versus Southeastern Missouri he delivered eight punts for a 41-yard average, including a season-long 53-yarder. Four of his punts were fair caught and four were downed inside the 20. The final punt of Dorr’s career, on Senior Day, was downed at the 4-yard line against Western Illinois.

Dorr also served as the team’s holder, contributing to 82 points scored and the game-winning field goal in the victory over rival Charleston Southern in the North-South Barbecue Bowl. His work helped kicker Charlie Viorel earn Conference Player of the Week honors four times.
