Evgeny Slesarev is in his fourth season coach tennis atGardner-Webb University. In 2013-14, Slesarev will assume theposition of Associate Head Coach for the Runnin' Bulldogs' men'stennis team.
Slesarev recently wrapped up his playing career as the mostdecorated men's tennis player in Gardner-Webb history.
His 70 singles and 46 doubles victories are both school recordsat the Division I level, and was named Big South Conference Men'sTennis Player of the Year following the completion of his senioryear. Slesarev was the first male student-athlete fromGardner-Webb to earn Player of the Year honors from the BigSouth.
Slesarev also earned All-Conference accolades each of his fouryears as a Runnin' Bulldog.
The Krasnoyarsk, Russia native recently earned his undergraduatedegree from Gardner-Webb, majoring in BusinessAdministration. He is currently enrolled in Gardner-Webb'sGodbold School of Business, pursuing his master's degree.
