High School: Played three seasons forGainesville H.S. Member of 2006 State Champion Team hersophomore year, also finishing State Runner-Up individually. Awarded 1st Team All Area Honors along with Coach's Hurricane Awardfor her efforts. In her junior year she was a member of theRegional Championship Team, and repeated as 1st Team All Areahonoree and Coach's Hurricane Award. In 2008, she was amember of the District Championship Team and won the IndividualRegional Championship at the first position. She also made ita perfect three for three in 1st Team All Area and Hurricane Awardhonors. Black also excelled in the classroom. Named tothe Academic Honor Roll all four years of high school, graduatingwith a 4.16 GPA, and finishing 46th out of 471 in herclass.
