BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. ESPN college basketball analyst
Andy Katz named Gardner-Webb University his team of the week,
lauding the Runnin' Bulldogs well publicized win over No. 20
Kentucky.
In his "Weekly Watch" column on ESPN.com, Katz writes, "College
basketball got more pop from Gardner-Webb's upset of Kentucky last
week than it would have if the Wildcats opened the season with two
wins and a trip to New York ... The Runnin' Bulldogs win over
Kentucky at Rupp Arena was the story of the first week of the
season."
Katz also mentions Grayson Flittner, who scored 22 points in the
win over Kentucky, as a new name to know on the college basketball
scene and lauds the Atlantic Sun as his conference of the
week.
