
Bulldogs Remain In Seventh, Pull Within Striking Distance Of Fourth

JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. The Gardner-Webb women's golf team remains in seventh place following the second day of the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship.
The Bulldogs recorded a 22-stroke improvement from the first round, posting a 322 over the 18 holes Tuesday afternoon. GWU is currently 91 over par, having tallied a 667 for the tournament. The 322 for the day was the third best in the eight-team field. ETSU remains in the lead with a +21, 597.
Campbell is second (+49, 625), Belmont third (+50, 626), Stetson fourth (+74, 650), Jacksonville fifth (+81, 657) and Mercer is sixth (+88, 664). Lipscomb trails the field with a +110, 686.
Katie Garahan remains the Bulldogs' top threat in the field. She totaled an 81 for the second round and stands at 21 over par, 165. Garahan is tied for 21st.
Courtney Meyer is two strokes behind Garahan and is tied for 25th. She too shot an 81 over the 18 holes and has amassed a 167 for the tournament.
Dana Prozeller stands in 29th after firing a second-round 82. She is 24 over par and has fired a 168 over the first two days.
MacKenzie Renner is tied for 31st with a 172. She is 28 over par. However, her 78 today is the best round of the tournament for any GWU golfer.
Yayoi Garcia is 38th in the field with a 178. She is currently 34 over par.
The Bulldogs return to action tomorrow for the final day of the tournament.
