In her senior season in 1995-96, Jenkins averaged 13.4 points and 4.8 rebounds per game, while shooting over 48 percent from the floor in helping to lead her team to a 22-7 record on the year. She was tabbed the Team MVP and the Women's Basketball Female Athlete of the Year, as well as receiving all-conference honors and winning the Bulldog Award for Women's Basketball during her playing career at GWU.

While at Gardner-Webb, Jenkins was a member of the Dean's List and Honor Roll, the South Atlantic Conference Honor Roll, and was named to the Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. She was also a member of the North Carolina Zeta Chapter of the Alpha Chi National Honor Scholarship Society, served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and was awarded the Fellowship of Christian Athlete's Award.

Jenkins, who graduated from Gardner-Webb with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management Information Systems, went back to school to receiver her Master of Arts Degree in Instructional Technology from Appalachian State in 2005.

The GWU alumnus has worked at Corning Cable Systems in Hickory, North Carolina where she has worked as a Senior Programmer and Analyst, a Customer Service Manager and currently serves as the Application Development and Support Project Manager.

While working at Corning, not only has Jenkins also served as a part-time instructor at Catawba Valley Community College from 2001-03 and as a part-time youth director at Grace Lutheran Church in Newton, N.C. where she still is an active member today, but she also completed two marathons in 2001 and a MS 150 mile bike ride in 2005.
