Gardner-Webb Men's Swimming #38 on CollegeSwimming.com Mid-Major Top 50 Rankings

SOMERS, W.I.- The Gardner-Webb men's swim team ranked #38 this morning on the CollegeSwimming.com Mid-Major Top 50 ranking for results from September 13- October 27.
The Gardner-Webb men sit at #38 with a point total of 615.76 just behind #37 Drexel University (617.41), and narrowly in front of #39 Xavier University. The men's team scoring was highlighted by senior Nathan Lile's winning performance in the 50 free (20.83) at the All-North Carolina Invitational earlier this month.
CollegeSwimming.com calculates the team scores by totaling a team's 27 best swims and best medley and freestyle relays gauged against the US Open record for each event.
The United States Naval Academy men's swim team currently sits atop the Mid-Major rankings with a total score of 711.21.
Both the Gardner-Webb men's and women's swim teams will be in action this Saturday, October 31st as they take part in a tri-meet with the University of Maryland, Baltimore Country and Virginia Tech at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center in Christiansburg, Va.
