Women’s Basketball To Face Lincoln Memorial in Exhibition Play Sunday in Gatlinburg, Tenn.

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb women's basketball team will face Lincoln Memorial College in an exhibition contest on Sunday afternoon at 3:00 pm at Gatlinburg-Pittman High School in Gatlinburg, Tenn.

The contest will be a tune-up for the Runnin' Bulldogs as the team prepares to open the 2017-18 season on Friday, November 10 at 7:00 pm against Pfeiffer in Paul Porter Arena.

GWU welcomes back four starters from last season, led by Big South Conference Preseason All-Conference selection senior Tierra Huntsman (Connersville, Ind. / Connersville HS), as well as seniors Alexus Hill (Rocky Mount, N.C. / Northern Nash HS) and Celia Tibbs (Kernersville, N.C. / Winston-Salem Prep).Â

Lincoln Memorial, coached Krystal Reeves-Evans, former GWU assistant and daughter of GWU head coach Rick Reeves, is coming off the program's best ever season in which the team went 28-5 en route to a South Atlantic Conference (SAC) championship and an appearance in the NCAA Women's Basketball Division II Tournament, making it to the round of 16.
