Softball Doubleheader With Appalachian State Moved to Brinkley Stadium

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Gardner-Webb athletic officials announced that the softball doubleheader between the Runnin' Bulldogs and Appalachian State Mountaineers has been moved to Brinkley Stadium tomorrow.
The doubleheader was originally scheduled to start at 3 p.m. in Boone, N.C., but will now begin at 5 p.m. in Boiling Springs.
Appalachian State (15-29, 3-15 Sun Belt Conference) is coming off a 2-0 win against conference foe South Alabama, while Gardner-Webb (27-23, 8-10 Big South Conference) was swept by Radford this past weekend.
Last week, the Runnin' Bulldogs went 3-4 overall, earning a victory against the Charlotte 49ers and sweeping South Carolina State. For her outstanding play, Katie Prebble was awarded her fifth Big South Conference Freshman of the Week honor.
