Gardner-Webb Lacrosse, Hedrick, Honored By IWLCA For Academic Excellence

BOILING SPRINGS – Gardner-Webb women's lacrosse was one of 339 schools across Division I, II, III and NAIA to be named an IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad, and recent graduate Michelle Hedrick was named to the Division I Academic Honor Roll.
The Runnin' Bulldogs posted a team GPA of 3.36 for the 2017-2018 academic year. In order to quality as an honor squad, team's must have posted a team GPA of 3.0 higher for the year.
In order to quality for the Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes in the junior or senior classes must have earned a GPA of 3.50 or higher for the academic year.
Hedrick, who graduated with a degree in Healthcare Management in 2018, carried a strong 3.69 GPA for the 2017-2018 academic year. The Orlando, Fla., standout played in 16 games this past season – collecting 11 ground balls and seven caused turnovers on the defensive end.
Gardner-Webb will welcome its 2018-2019 roster to campus in August.
