BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb wrestling team kicks off its 2019-20 campaign Sunday afternoon as the Runnin' Bulldogs take part in the 2019 Southeast Open in Roanoke, Va.
 
Gardner-Webb will have 23 competitors compete among two divisions of the one day, double-elimination tournament formally known as the Hokie Open.  Fifteen will compete in the Freshman/Sophomore Division, with the remaining eight taking part in the Open Division.
 
The Runnin' Bulldogs will have a mix of youth and experience among this year's squad, returning senen starters while adding 11 newcomers.
 
Returining starters from last year's squad include Kyle Homet, who finished third at 174 pounds at the 2019 SoCon Championships, and Blake Mulkey, who placed fourth at 141 pounds at the 2019 SoCon Championships.  Starters from last year competing this weekend include Brandon Bright, Jeffery Linker, and Evan Schenk,
