Natasha Akbarizadeh Set To Take Part in 2019 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field East Prelims

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Gardner-Webb senior Natasha Akbarizadeh has quailed for the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field East Preliminary Round, looking to potentially advance to the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Akbarizadeh qualified in the women's hammer throw with a career-best mark of 63.92 meters set at the Big South Outdoor Track and Field Championships earlier this month, in which she placed first overall.
The women's hammer throw will begin at approximately 4:00 pm on Thursday afternoon.
The NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field East Preliminary Round takes place May 23-25 at Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla on the campus of the University of North Florida. The top 12 finishers in each event will move on to the 2019 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships
