JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Gardner-Webb redshirt-senior Natasha Akbarizadeh finished 20th overall in the women's hammer throw at the 2019 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field East Region Preliminary Round at Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla.
Her season finishes with a mark of 59.77 meters.
Akbarizadeh completed a stellar 2019 season in which she took home the Big South Conference title in the hammer throw with a GWU-record distance of 63.92 meters. She also earned a spot on the 2019 Big South All-Academic team.
