BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb volleyball team has completed its 2019 fall schedule, including three early season tournaments and nine home contests, as announced by GWU head coach Rob Frost Wednesday.
 
The Runnin' Bulldogs take on Davidson in an exhibition matchup on Saturday, August 24 at 4:00 pm as the final tune-up before opening the 2019 season the following weekend at the Charlotte Invitational, hosted by the Charlotte 49ers.
 
GWU opens the tournament against host Charlotte at 10:00 am on Friday, August 30 and will take on Eastern Kentucky later that day at 4:00 pm.  The Runnin' Bulldogs will wrap up the event the following day at 10:00 am by squaring off against Kent State.
 
The 'Dogs head west to Memphis, Tenn. the next weekend, taking part in the Memphis Invitational, beginning Friday, September 6 at 10:00 am against host Memphis.  GWU takes on UT-Martin that afternoon at 4:30 pm before facing Arkansas-Pine Bluff at 10:00 am the next morning.
 
Gardner-Webb remains on the road the following weekend, taking part in the Wofford Tournament in Spartanburg, S.C., beginning at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 13 with a matchup against Alabama A&M, followed by a bout against North Carolina A&T at 4:00 pm.  GWU will take on host Wofford the next day at 11:30 am.
 
The home opener for the 'Dogs is set for Friday. September 20 at 6:00 pm against East Carolina.  The squad will host Alabama A&M the following afternoon at 3:00 pm in the final non-conference matchup of the year.
 
GWU opens Big South Conference play on Friday, September 27 at 6:00 pm with a home bout against Charleston Southern, and will host Presbyterian at 2:00 pm the next afternoon.
 
Gardner-Webb hits the road for its next two contest, league bouts at USC Upstate on Friday, October 4 at 6:00 pm, followed by a matchup at UNC Asheville at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 5.
 
The Runnin' Bulldogs return home for a three-match home stand beginning on Friday, October 11 at 6:00 pm against Winthrop.  Radford visits Boiling Springs on Friday, October 19 at 6:00 pm, and High Point comes to town the following afternoon at 2:00 pm.
 
GWU heads back out on the road for four consecutive contests beginning on Friday, October 25 at 6:00 pm at Charleston Southern, followed by bouts at Presbyterian on Saturday, October 26 at 4:00 pm, Campbell on Friday, November 1 at 6:00 pm and Hampton at 4:00 pm on Saturday, November 2 at 4:00 pm.
 
Gardner-Webb returns home to Paul Porter Arena for its last two home matchups on Friday, November 9 at 6:00 pm against UNC Asheville and the following afternoon at 2:00 pm against USC Upstate.
 
The Runnin' Bulldogs wrap up the 2019 regular season at Winthrop on Friday, November 15 at 6:00 pm.
 
The 2019 Big South Conference Volleyball Championship will take place November 22-24 in Rock Hill, S.C.
