Gardner-Webb Track and Field Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Honors

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Gardner-Webb men's and women's track and field teams have earned 2018-19 U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team honors for their success in the classroom, while senior Natasha Akbarizadeh earned individual All-Academic honors.
A total of 366 teams were honored by the USTFCCA for finishing the 2018-19 season with a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher. The GWU men's team finshed with a GPA of 3.09, while the women's squad compiled a 3.42 GPA.
Akbarizadeh was one of 902 women to earn USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, compiling a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and participating in the NCAA Division I Championship preliminary rounds.
