Brooke Perry Selected Pitcher of the Week by Big South

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Announced by the Big South Conference earlier today, Gardner-Webb redshirt-junior Brooke Perry (Clemmons, N.C.) has been named the Pitcher of the Week for games played Feb. 16-23.
Perry was 3-0 in the circle with a 0.71 ERA and 21 K's in 19.2 innings pitched. Against Eastern Illinois on Friday, she pitched a complete game with eight strikeouts while allowing just one run in a 6-1 victory. Perry then earned a relief win with 5.2 innings to help the Runnin' Bulldogs to a 7-2 win over Northern Kentucky. She concluded her week with a two-hit complete game shutout with nine strikeouts against EIU.
GWU will host another tournament next weekend, facing North Carolina Central at 2:00 pm Friday (February 28) and Harvard at 4:00 pm that same day to open the 2020 AmericInn Lodge & Suites Softball Invitational at Gardner-Webb.
