GWU's Mujahid, Hurley Named to Big South Conference Women’s Indoor Track & Field All-Decade Team

CHARLOTTE – Gardner-Webb women's indoor track and field placed two women on the Big South Conference All-Decade Team presented by Hercules Tires. The team was announced Tuesday afternoon by the league office.
Kayin Mujahid (Las Vegas, Nev.) and Kristen Hurley (Columbia, Conn.) represented the Runnin' Bulldogs on a team that featured the best in the conference from 2010-2019.
A 15-person committee of Big South Conference administrators served as the official voting panel to determine the All-Decade Team, with fan voting comprising 20 percent of the overall total.
Mujahid competed for GWU from 2014-2017, earning All-Conference honors on four occasions. Her career-best mark of 1.70 meters in the high jump is tied for seventh all-time in league history.
Hurley competed for the Runnin' Bulldogs from 2011-2015, claiming the Big South championship in the pentathlon in 2012 and 2013. She also earned All-Conference honors in the event in 2011.
The entire 2010-2019 Women's Indoor Track & Field All-Decade Team is listed below in alphabetical order by event and features eight sprinters/hurdlers, eight distance/mid-distance runners, eight jumpers, four throwers, two pentathletes and one head coach.
