CONWAY, S.C. - The Gardner-Webb women's basketball team notched its second win of the season in a close-knit battle at the HTC Center on Sunday over UNC Greensboro. The Runnin' Bulldogs beat the Spartans with a final score of 65-63.

"I was really happy with our team's resilience and how we were able to withstand some adversity and play through foul trouble," said head coach Alex Simmons "Ki'Ari Cain did a great job controlling the floor and Jhessyka Williams finished very well down the stretch. We had some huge minutes by Sarah Matthews especially on the defensive end. Our players did a great job of understanding the scouting report and carrying it over. I'm very proud of them especially being on the road playing two tough opponents."

Over the last three minutes and forty-two seconds of play, the 'Dogs registered their back-to-back win by going on a 12-0 scoring run, where Gardner-Webb capitalized on its offensive efforts.
