Ryan Madondo Named Big South Offensive Player Of The Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Gardner-Webb forward Ryan Madondo (Franklin, Tenn.) has been named the Big South Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office Friday afternoon.
Madondo led Gardner-Webb with four goals scored in the Runnin' Bulldogs' 5-4 overtime win over Winthrop on Wednesday. He scored the squad's final four goals of the evening -- including the game-winner just 90 seconds into overtime. Madondo first put GWU ahead 2-0 at the 21:16 mark, gave the Runnin' Bulldogs a 3-2 advantage with his second score at 63:40, then knotted the match at 4-4 with a tally at 79:53.
The #6 Runnin' Bulldogs will travel to Farmville, Virginia on Sunday, November 7th to take on #6 Longwood in the first round of the 2021 Big South Men's Soccer Championship. The match is slated to start at 2 pm and will stream on ESPN+.
