Men’s Soccer Has Duo Named To 2021 Big South All-Conference Team

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb Men's Soccer team had two members of the program named to the Big South All-Conference Team, which was announced this afternoon by the conference office.
Laurits Lillemose earned himself an All-Conference Honorable Mention, and Cole Sanfilippo was named to the All-Academic Team.
Laurits Lillemose – All-Conference Honorable Mention
Laurits has started all 15 games he has played in this season. The Denmark native scored his lone goal of the season against Furman (9/3). The Midfielder took seven shots throughout the season with just a pair of those shots on goal.
Cole Sanfilippo – All-Academic Team
Sanfilippo boasts an impressive 3.32 GPA as a Biology major. This season the redshirt senior has started in six games and saw action in a total of 13 for a total of 736 minutes. Sanfilippo scored one goal this season in conference play against Radford (10/23).
The 'Dogs will be back in action on Wednesday, November 10, as they are set to take on #2 High Point University in the Semifinals of the 2021 Big South Men's Soccer Championship. The match is slated to start at 6 pm and will stream on ESPN+.
