HIGH POINT, N.C. – On Sunday Afternoon Gardner-Webb men's soccer took a loss against Big South Conference opponent High Point. The Panthers beat the Runnin' Bulldogs, 4-0.
MD Myers scored twice in Sunday's matchup to help take home the win for the High Point Panthers. Myers first goal didn't appear until thirty minutes into match play.
In the match Gardner-Webb took eight shots on the night, with six of those coming in the first half and just two in the second. Just one of those shots was on goal for the 'Dogs, coming from
Sebastian Reventlow.
The Panthers were very aggressive in the night's matchup, as High Point took 13 shots on goal in the match, with six of those shots on goal.
Mallel Rios took the loss for Gardner-Webb, however Rios did have two saves in the game.
Gardner-Webb men's soccer will be back in action on Wednesday, February 24
th as they take on UNC Greensboro in a nonconference bout at home. The matchup is slated to kickoff at 6:00 PM at Greene-Harbison Stadium.
