BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – This weekend, the Men's Tennis program will be hosting the Big South Fall Individual Tournament. The contest will be held from October 28-30 at the Webb Tennis Complex with all six teams sending players.
The action will start on Friday morning with the first and second doubles rounds being contested at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Saturday will have the semifinals be contested at 9:00 a.m. and the finals on Sunday at the same time.
Gardner-Webb has four pairs competing in the main draw of the bracket, each facing one of the seeded opponents in the first round. The GWU duos are as follows for the weekend:
Numa Lemieux-Monette and
Victor Putter face,
Eduardo Dias,
Chrisjan Van Wyk,
John Spring, Kim Niethammar,
Cathal Butler and
Alex Lepine.
On Friday, the first round of singles will be contested with the first scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Late Saturday morning has the second round with the quarterfinals for that afternoon. Sunday will feature the semifinals and championship of the main draw with the B draw championship slated for a 10:00 a.m. start.
There are seven Runnin' Bulldogs competing in the A draw for the weekend. Dias is the lone GWU player that is seeded in the bracket. Neithammar, Spring, Van Wyk, Lemieux-Monette, Putter,
Connor Enslin. Butler will be competing in the B draw for the singles bracket.
