BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Women's Lacrosse announced their schedule for the upcoming 2023 season on Tuesday afternoon that features a pair of ACC opponents at the start of the year.
The season will start with a trip to ACC-power Duke on February 19 and at the ACC newcomer of Clemson (2/22) to follow.
Gardner-Webb then will host a trio of matches featuring Queens (3/1), Davidson (3/4), and Robert Morris (3/8). The nonconference schedule will finish by traveling to Ohio to play Akron (3/12) and Youngstown State (3/14).
The Runnin' Bulldogs will then have a two-week break until their next game, their Big South opener, hosting Mercer on March 29. The other schools that GWU will host include Radford (4/5), Winthrop (4/12), and Winthrop (4/26). The 'Dogs will hit the road for Longwood (4/1), Presbyterian (4/8), Wofford (4/15), Furman (4/22), and the regular season finale at High Point on Saturday, April 29.
The 2023 Big South Championship will feature the top-four teams from the regular season. Last season GWU earned the #5 seed, the best in school history, and then picked up their first postseason victory as they knocked off #4 Campbell in the first round in Buies Creek.
