Araceli Pesqueira Named Big South Co-Player Of The Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Gardner-Webb junior infielder Araceli Pesqueira (Laveen, Ariz.) has been named the Big South Softball Co-Player of the Week, for games played April 18-24.
Pesqueira hit .625 with a pair of doubles in last week's conference series win over USC Upstate. She opened the league set with a two-run double to lead the Runnin' Bulldogs to a 12-5 win over the Spartans on Friday, which was the first win over USC Upstate in program history. She then finished a combined 4-for-5 in Saturday's doubleheader with a double in the nightcap. She ended the week with a .875 slugging percentage.
